“Let Your Light Shine”

First of all you need the “spark”
To enable your light to shine;
For a world still in the dark
Has great need for some light to find.

The “spark”? well, it is freely given
To each one of us who asks,
It comes, with love direct from heaven,
To uphold our God-given tasks.

Some lights may start with just a glow –
Even fade a bit from time to time –
But by your faith, you soon will know
That’s part of God’s grand design.

The Christian faith will soon advance
If you with other lights combine,
And, with God’s grace, take every chance
To go! – “Let your light shine!”
