Dusk ’Til Dawn

The sun sinks slowly in the sky,
As weary seabirds homeward fly,
But soon, bright Venus will appear,
With starry hosts, our way to cheer!

Bats and barn-owls, then, take flight
To search and hunt, throughout the night;
Whilst Venus, serenely, westward glides,
Then, mysteriously, behind “the dawning” hides!
