Do We Forget?

Do we forget – do we really forget
The brave souls who died?… and yet
Wars are still waged o’er all the world!
Armies still march, with banners unfurled.

Do we forget – do we really forget –
Flanders, Dunkirk, Korea, Iraq?
When all we want in this life, is peace:
Only achieved, when all wars cease.
