A Comparison

The tall lime-tree, proudly stands,
Spreading its branches, wide,
Each adorned with fresh, green leaves:
But, meekly, by its side,
The old Firtree droops,
Yet, it has bravely borne,
The winter’s wind and snow:
(And kept the robins warm!)
