Should one attach any importance to what people “do” Be they doctor or dentist or keeper of zoo, Or lawyer, or teacher, or cleaner of streets; So, what should we search for, in those whom we meet? Are they patient and kindly, show goodness and joy, Have the gift to be gentle and never annoy, Do they show loving kindness, are they peaceful and true, Or is it still so important to ask what they “do”? May I make a suggestion? Seems better by far To forget what they “do” And bless what they “are”!
